1989 Introduction
Wargamers obtain inspiration from many different directions. Not necessarily
as a primary source but just It always used to be just books and films but TV plays a very large role nowadays. Watching wargames periods virtually "take off' after a TV mini series - like Shogun - is an education in itself and for enthusiasts of Fantasy and Science Fiction Star Trek and its ilk have performed a similar service. These rules are an attempt to simulate the undersea combat portrayed in the classic 1960s TV series Stingray. This was a puppet-based show created by Gerry Anderson who later went on to produce the rather better known Thunderbirds and a host of other similar programmes. Our rules try to be true to the original and we have resisted. as far as possible given the requirements of game design, the urge to over embellish them. Each model represents one craft.
